Retirement Living
Revera retirement living is all about supporting people in living their lives to the fullest. After all, the retirement years are meant to be fun, fulfilling and memorable; it’s also a time filled with purpose and meaning. In our retirement homes, celebrating life, engaging in an active lifestyle, and enjoying social engagements with friends all help make every day special for residents like you. At the same time, we know that it’s also a time of life when you may need a little extra support.
That’s why our senior living communities offer a range of lifestyle options to suit your needs. The terminology varies slightly between provinces, but they generally include independent living, independent supportive living, assisted living, memory care, short term stay and respite stay. Much like an apartment or condo, different suites types – such as one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites, some with an in-suite kitchen or kitchenette, as well as studio suites – are available, depending on which retirement home you prefer. Whatever your needs are, there is a place perfect for you at a Revera retirement home.
The teams at our retirement residences in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador are proud to provide exceptional experiences in vibrant environments designed to let you, be you.

Life in retirement living

First, let’s talk about food. Every day, the chefs and culinary teams at our retirement homes across the country cook up delicious, balanced meals served in a variety of welcoming settings, such as bistros, cafés, dining rooms, and even pubs. Our menus are carefully designed to align with Canada’s Food Guide for feeding seniors, while providing our chefs the flexibility to adjust and get creative, with a strong focus on ‘made-from-scratch’ cooking and local favourites. There is plenty of variety at every meal as well as à la carte selections. Our menus are based on resident preferences, so everything on your plate is just right for you.
Food safety is a top priority in Revera’s culinary program. All of our suppliers and vendors must meet the highest standards. We take a Canadian-first approach whenever possible that offers ethically and sustainably sourced products. This ensures a sustainable path to plate as we create exciting and appetizing meals each day.
Prefer to do some of your own cooking? Some of our retirement homes offer suites that include kitchens, so you can prepare your own meals and snacks. There are also common kitchen areas and private dining rooms in some of our residences where you can prepare and serve larger meals to friends and family, and some of our newer residences even offer demonstration kitchens, where you can learn from our talented chefs.
