Holiday spirit
The spirit of the holidays is upon us and people are trying their best to bring joy despite the global pandemic. It’s safe to say that 2020 hasn’t been a year any of us could have expected, however, it’s important to reflect on the positives and what’s truly important in life – including family and friends.
At Revera, the holidays also bring out our residents’ creative energy, which is why each year we hold a contest where we invite residents at our retirement residences and long term care homes to submit a piece of artwork for consideration to be turned into a special holiday card. We received submissions from across the country this year, some capturing classic wintery Canadian landscapes. We are always amazed by the talents of our residents. All the submissions were great, and it was difficult to choose six cards that represent the holidays through the eyes of Canadian seniors.
Here are the final submissions:
Resident of Fleetwood Villa in Surrey, BC
Resident of Chateau Renoir in Calgary, AB
Resident of The Bentley Moose Jaw in Moose Jaw, SK
Resident of Northridge in Oakville, ON
Resident of Blenheim Community Village in Blenheim, ON
Resident of West Oak Village in Oakville, ON
